How to arrive
You can arrive trough Chile or Argentina. In case you arrive through Chile, the option is flying to Santiago and connects to Punta Arenas the same day. Then we can meet you at Punta Arenas airport and take you to the Lodge in a six hours drive. There is a local flight company who flies into the island of Tierra del Fuego from Punta Arenas to Porvenir, in Chilean Tierra del Fuego. This short flight takes only 15 minutes and will shorten the driving to only two and a half hours to the lodge.
In case you first arrive to Buenos Aires, we recommend staying there overnight and then take a connecting flight from Buenos Aires to Rio Grande or Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego. Ground transportation from the Rio Grande airport or hotel to the lodge is about two hours from Rio Grande and 4 hours from Ushuaia. We recommend guests to try to arrive trough Chile since there have been several inconveniences with flights in Argentina and crossing the borders can sometime be extremely disagreeable. For most countries, no visa is necessary when traveling to Chile, only a valid passport will be needed. Chile has put in place strict requirements for the entry/exit of minors under the age of 18. Even when the minor is traveling with both parents, the parents will be required to show evidence of their relationship to the child when departing the country. Please carry an original birth certificate or a certified copy of the original.
